I've put in a $500 expression of interest for one, but I'm also under contract for an XC40 Recharge. Not quite decided on which one I prefer at this stage...
Hi there - had a brief 1hr look around and test-drive of one in December - wrote it up as a 'first impressions' article for TheDriven here: https://thedriven.io/2021/12/22/polesta ... pressions/
(BTW: ignore the headline saying the 2WD is rear-wheel drive - in two-wheel drive form it is front-wheel drive. The editors made that blunder, not me!)
Am getting one for an extended test-drive sometime early 2022. Will write a more comprehensive report then.
Cheers

Thanks Bryce for the run down. This is on the short list if we have to replace our Ioniq.
I do and don't like the pack options keeps them simple but things you may not want necessitate choosing the whole pack. I don't under stand why Blind spot monitoring is an option in a pack that I dont really want anything else and I would want a heat pump but not necessarily the panoramic roof.
And another "froot" supporter, too! I do hate the way the term "frunk" is creeping into Australian usage, since it's very obviously based on the ultra-American term "trunk".

I drove the AWD dual motor version with performance pack a couple of weeks ago on the Gold Coast and I'm sold. I've put a reservation in so will wait and see how this lottery plays out!
I'm actually totally happy with my 2020 Ioniq but I want to be able to pull a camper trailer and the Ioniq isn't rated for towing here. The P2 can tow 1500kg.
I have my order confirmed. Long range single motor with Plus and Pilot packs. It's a preconfigured model so should be here in 8 weeks, though I don't have an actual confirmed delivery date yet.
I am in Perth, I signed up for one, supposedly getting it sometime towards end of March. If anyone else is on this forum who is in Perth and buying a Polestar please let me know as good to swap notes when we eventually get to drive it.

Mine is due first week of May but the date has already slipped a couple of weeks so we'll see.
Yes! I have a LRSM. I'm active on the Facebook Polestar Australia group too (as Fraser).
I picked it up just before a New Years camping trip to Girraween! Got it christened by gravel dust, and charged it in Warwick to get an extra 15% each way. It was perfect! I've covered about 1500km so far. More impressed than I was expecting.
