Hi Nagaman, I have been following this interesting thread of yours.

Is this the intersection you describe on the link below?

https://www.google.com/maps/@-37.751131 ... a=!3m1!1e3

This Google Maps image appears to be recent (2022). The lane markings on exiting to the East are missing or indistinct when compared to the same intersection but exiting to the West as shown above the "Bellfield Consulting Rooms".

It would be interesting to re visit this intersection to see if the lane markings are as shown on the map image.

Cheers, Steve

It IS the intersection and there IS a slight bend but the line markings didn’t seem to be an issue, but, in any case, happily aiming for the car beside you isn’t my idea of driver assistance.
The bottom line is that whatever happened today is no guarantee of being the case tomorrow.
I’m currently downloading yet another exciting OTA update…….except I don’t actually expect a net improvement anymore.
That cheap n nasty con called blind spot ‘warning’ simply doesn’t exist……but the profitable cynicism certainly does.
Wtf is sooo difficult about finding an adult to run the auto division and producing a vision beyond pr announcements.

Installed 2022.40.4 before driving into the city this morning. Can't say i noticed any difference. Only mentioning it because i am now just 0.0.1 away from the fabled full stack FSD beta, and 12,000km.

It appears that if there are constant improvements with each update then they must only apply to those who have paid a premium for the otherwise excellent FSD……………hmmm ?
When the very basics (wipers dipping and ‘warning system’) can’t be improved year after year, why would I expect anything significant other than distractions/toys they seem to specialise in ???
(I wonder what the post graduate pecking order is post Twitter)

Tesla did not respond to questions.
Does anyone expect anything different.

So ‘engineers’ at Tesla are being encouraged to volunteer to help fix Twitter’s (Musk?) problems…….after hours.
No wonder less and less actually works anymore.
Ffs can we have the very adult Herbert Diess in to give some sense that the product has a future beyond gaslighting !

Our second windscreen in 5 months was installed yesterday. The small but nasty chip was out of sight in the upper black masked area. After parking in the sun for about 45 minutes we came back to find a long curving crack had appeared well down into the field of vision……..flood affected roads.
Complained about the daily unpredictable ADAS behaviour and the possible need for a software reinstall.
This morning I notice it’s being done ✔️ (40.4.2)
It’s a pleasure in every way dealing with Melbourne Tesla service .

Well we actually ‘saw’ most of the temporary speed signs today but AP speeding is still enabled……no phantom braking this time.

A trip through flooded country today and temporary speed signs were seen 50% and speed adjustment 50% of them.
Strange hesitation accelerating still.
In the countryside don’t count on anything.

Well, this is hardly surprising given auto speed sign recognition is NOT yet enabled outside built up areas in Australia. I recently did a 700km trip and no signs were recognised outside Sydney/Canberra/Queanbeyan except the geo located ones. Not one temporary sign "seen".

I believed Elon Musk when he said the cameras were now seeing speed signs.
Then I read something about that ability being licensed to another company.
I’m not nerdy enough for Tesla and simply not used to 4 wheels and so much fine print.
Mine ‘sees’ signs more often than before ……but isn’t supposed to…….at all in my region…….apparently.
If it works be grateful but don’t count on it.

44.30 yesterday…..I’ll give it a try.
Will it fix 4 stages of hesitation acceleration….?
Occasionally NOT slowing for town limits promptly….or re-acceleration way beyond within, after slowing.
Inexplicable braking for no reason……panic braking for pedestrian (after the event) intending to cross behind you.
Not to mention being force fed enhanced AP (I’m not interested) that makes me appear I don’t know which lane I actually intend to end up in.
Just leave my car alone if you can’t fix the permanent bugs……and stop the meddling with what I’m still trying to accept as being what I had yesterday.
Are we to assume non auto enthusiasts will love NOT being comfortable with how their car behaves from week to week……?
OTA updates were once something to look forward to……..now they are just more frustration/interference.

Definitely agree with the Hyundai assessment. Only an assistant and thus I know I have to be engaged, especially on freeways where if your on the inside lane it always wants to follow the exit.

FSD will require the hardware update at YOUR expense.
At least you will be relieved to learn that your OLD hardware will keep you safer than the average competent driver. Trust me - Elon said so.

2023.2.10 - speed control improvements around changed town limits ………’except in Australia’
Oh well …..maybe next year.
Lots of distracting ‘features’ (meddling) instead.

Auto locking now can’t be trusted or understood.
It now wants to lock in the garage.
If I get something out and then shut the door - stand beside it cleaning the windscreen or bugs off the front with phone on me, it will lock.
We had a coffee in a shop 30 ft from where it was parked and it DIDN’T lock…….and that’s not the first time I’ve received a warning message.
A truck crept past us into a right turn lane and the wipers decided to start on a crystal clean windscreen and had to be switched off to stop them.
Auto dipping headlights aren’t worth the frustration.
Software is overrated and unreliable from one update to the next.
The only people who are looked after are shareholders…….the rest is twitter smoke up the fundamental.
