Tyres for Leaf

Post by drlizau »

My tyres are still legal, but I started looking at tyres online.
All the websites want to sell me MY12 tyres incorrectly. (205/55R16)
My tyres are Dunlop Enasave 215/50R17 91V.
They have now done about 30K and I see I should look at a wheel alignment. There's otherwise no obvious wear.

I see that "run flat" tyres exist, and as there is no spare, I thought that could be "a good thing". I couldn't find any run flat tyres in the size on the vehicle.

What thoughts do others have about their next set of tyres?

Personally I'd avoid run flats. They tend to be expensive, have a short life and give a harder ride. Better to just call a tow truck with the money you save if you really get stuck
