Can't add images !!!

G'Day Guys

I have tried to use your site before and had a few issues

Most recently I tried to add an image

If I type in

http://ozbats.net/ev-swap-bats.png to the browser

it works

But this 'code' doesn't

[ img ] http://ozbats.net/ev-swap-bats.png [ / img ]

Need to remove spaces from above

I'm not sure I understand your question, you have managed to upload an image here!

Probably not related but I saw the image when I first read the post, now it's gone....

Pretty sure that'll be a browser cache problem on my end, just thought I'd throw it out there in case it's relevant

Edit: @coulomb seems to have solved it. If I remove the s from https then the image reappears

If I type in

it works

But the browser complains that it's not secure, as it has a http not a https address (s for Secure http).

I agree it should work. Maybe when we get our forum software updated.

In the meantime, I think we'll have to upload such insecure images as attachments, rather than referencing them with the img tag. You might have to resize it to get it under our forum's image attachment size limit (from memory, about 2 MB), or save it as JPEG, which compresses much better. PNG is a lossless format.

Oh, I see. It is now gone for me too! When I first read the post the image was there, underneath the text stating that it didn't work. Now there is just the text 'Image'.
