Build date Model 3 SR+ January 2020 with premium connectivity subscription -
Waiting on our Samsung 500 storage device.........should the cam viewer icon be showing on the screen beside the sentry mode icon, because it’s not been seen, and we’re up to date with the latest software ?
Does it show up only when you install the storage device or am I just that dumb ?

Our ‘hub’ is the Taptes one - the storage point on the right but the data point on the car is on the left side.......hmmm ???
For some reason using the hub, plugged in, denies the viewer icon ......wtf
I feel another red face moment coming on.

I have 128GB sandisk memory card (officeworks) in sandisk Adaptor (jb hifi)
Directly inserted into front USB socket.
Used format option in car to format to exFAT.

Previously tried verbatim card reader hub (officeworks) which didn’t allow in car formatting So returned it.

Well we have ordered the Jeda hub which we should have done way back.
Finally worked it out by plugging in directly to the data point..........it’s almost UHD vision !

I formatted a repurposed Laptop 80GB HDD on a Mac to exfat Master Boot Record
Now can format within car.

Previously was using GUID Partition Table

Well we got our Jeda Hub and installed it, but now we don’t know where the DashCam icon has gone.
We had the Samsung 500 storage device plugged directly into the car and the icon was there, but via the Jeda Hub It’s NOT showing up now.
Not being of the tech generation, we are mystified as to why/what/how etc.
Any clues for the clueless ?

Apparently we didn’t ‘long press’ the viewer icon prior to taking it out (in order to install the new Jeda hub).
Does that explain it’s non reappearance now.....and how do we resolve it ?

Well we have now got it up using either of the two left hand hub points......but not in the ‘provided’ internal point.
If almost as if the RHD conversion has had the effect of being done in haste without much consideration.
