vectrix scooter being sold for spare parts

Post by Geoffrey »

Hi all,

I recently had an accident on my vectrix.
Damage as follows.
The front wheel is bent in, frame is broken, The front fairing is also smashed.

I am keen to see someone make use of the wreck. If anyone is interested please give me a call on
0418 773 453.

The bike was going well until recently. The batteries were converted to lithium ion, and seem to be still be in excellent condition all the charging systems are also still working.

Rear end of the bike is all still in good condition ( a few scuffs as you would expect)

I have taken off the faring but still have it. I would prefer to sell the whole bike but if you are after a particular part I am open to discussion.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Where are you located?

Is it still registered?

What lithium battery is in the bike at present?

hey Doug,

somehow I couldn't log in to the aeva site with my last email so I have had to join up under another email. Apologies for my non response. I had a friend who was keen to do something with my old vectrix but then the bike sat in my shed for a few more months so if you or anyone else is interested in making me an offer for the vectrix then please give me a call on 0418 773 453.

Thanks, there is a Bayswater in Perth, but I suspected it might not be the one you are in.

thanks to the person who passed my contact details on. My old wreck is now being used for spare parts hopefully to keep more vectrix's on the road.

Hi, trying to gauge what a 2008 Vectrix might be worth. Good condition but hasn't been ridden for a long time. My brother passed away recently and we need to sell his bike.

it depends largely on what sort of batteries it has, and if everything works. In my opinion. Rolling bike is worth $1000. If charge works add $500. If motor controller works add $500. If original Nimh battery working add $300. If lithium 40Ah with minimum 30Ah capacity add $2000. If minimum 25Ah capacity add $1000.

Reduce if anything out of the ordinary is broken.

Out of curiosity, where are you based?

I would be interested in some more info on the bike and possibly buy it.

I have two vectrixes with calb lion batteries. The red one was new when I got it, the blue one second hand. Haven't looked but they both have around 12000 km on them.
I'm currently riding the red one and it is behaving normally (bald rear tyre, throttle rubber grip missing.
The blue one I have kept charged but unless it has recovered recently, there is probably at least one (calb) battery which has resulted in the bike having no endurance.
I would sell both for $6000. Batteries are the same age. Bought from Western Australia (forget well know seller).

I don't suppose any of these are kicking around in Brisbane still?
Only seem to find them in WA any time I look.

Mik Krell on the gold coast still has his, though I don't think he rides it anymore (dead nimh and other projects)

Do you feel up to a battery swap boars?

There's a few talented battery builders about these parts that happily sell their services... :D not adverse to getting a new one built.

Hard to verify things are as they should be when the battery is dead with my skillset however :s

I'm a complete novice when it comes to electrics, and pretty amateur when it comes to tweaking more traditional motor bikes.

So while I'd prefer something running I'm not completely against the idea.... If it's in good condition from someone fairly reputable in the community.

Edit: I've got no idea who Mik is, sorry.
