Converted Ford Focus - WA (needs windscreen and battery, now sold)

Post by jonescg »

From Leigh:

I purchased a 2010 WA Electric Vehicle conversion trial car (a Ford Focus), which I have been trying to get rid of for a little while now. Unfortunately someone has just smashed the rear window of it, which has convinced me to finally contact you.

I will warn you that the battery pack needs to be fully replaced, however the rest of the gear is in good nick, along with the car it self (obviously except for the rear window now).

Can you please pass my information onto anyone who may be interested in purchasing the car, whether for parts or to rebuild. It has everything machined up to allow someone to easily complete rebuild if they don't have the required machining equipment or skills.

List of interesting parts:
- 30kW DC drive, 100kW peak
- Zilla 1K + Std Hairball drive controller.
- 1kW charger
- fuel gauge
- hall-effect throttle

This would go great with some new lightweight ncm cells.

Any estimation on price? And what is a "hairball drive controller" hopefully not a comparison to something the cat threw up

The hairball interfaces things like main Pre charge contactor control, throttle and a few other things to the zilla.

Motorcontrollers now all have it in the same box

Yea pretty happy for what I paid for the car. Leigh is a top bloke!

Undecided on battery replacements at this stage but definitely considering some tesla modules to add some extra range.

For anyone interested unfortunately I am unable to Finnish this project. To many other commitments are not leaving me with enough time to spend on the car.

The rear windscreen has been replaced and faulty batteries removed.

Vehicle is located in Baldivis call or msg if interested.
