Actually, I now have a mate editing the next few episodes...He'll be picking up tapes on Sunday (yeah, I've gotten that busy...but I don't wanna let the EV Capri-watching public down - I mean, half of 'em know where I live!!). In other news, I got roped into giving an EVCapri and electric cars in general talk tonight at the local Rotary. Got a pen and fish and chips....would much rather have been actually fabricating the battery pack switch mount!

Nothing wrong with spreading the word. Though I thought Rotary clubs were full of old (and therefore conservative) people. :p

And hey, nothing wrong with a free pen!

I see the Capri made it into Gav's videos!

If it's stuck, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway - bj's shed

AUGH! My eyes! They burn! The goggles do nossink!

I'm going to be a bit more subtle with mine, I think. Let the (lack of) engine noise do the advertising. But that's just me. :P

I think you should leave the steering wheel where it is. It's a pain to rego a LHD car < 30 years old.

But seriously, the minilites don't suit it, maybe some cheesy 90s 3 or 5 spokes, or some Moon Discs on 14 or 15 inch steel wheels.

cheers,
Woody

I like it !
But remember that at least 90% of people will not know what it means anyway.

I agree, many will not know what it means. That is why I am trying to find the best, briefest, least ambiguous set of words for a sticker on the rear of my car that says: "This is an electric car. I charge it by purchasing accredited 100% Greenpower which means you can forget the criticism that I am just moving the pollution elsewhere to a coal power station" I'm thinking that might be
"100% renewable electric car"
or
"ELECTRIC CAR
-charged from renewables"

Not snappy but a message I think we should be putting out.

That works best for me...

However I know a few people that would pick at that even...

I'll have a go.. Image

Coal is renewable, it just takes longer.

Hybrids have stolen the "green" label
and biodiesel has stolen the "renewable" label
It seems all the possible words are already being used falsely...
Smart, green, renewable, environmentally friendly, eco this and that etc.

Personally I don't consider solar or wind should be called renewable. They are more than that.
There must be a better name.

Is there something that is BEV unique ?

Maybe Kearon's big yellow arrow is just the ticket !

Is that what you were looking for ! Image

Yes, I always had misgivings about the old 70s "solar not nuclear" stickers. I wanted to reply 'Solar IS nuclear; just at a safe distance'

I concur with solar and wind...   ...Hydro is renewable (I think) because nature transports it back to the top of the "kinetic" system...

And in a way Wind could also be considered "Solar"...   ...Because isn't it the sun heating the earth in different ways that cause the fluctuation in air pressure in different parts of the globe...

But then Solar could really just be heat-delay-release...   ...Solar radiation heats the globe...   ...Solar panels capture this radiation for release later...   ...Which then heats the globe...

And is it too early to have a beer on a thursday???...

Emission Free
0% air pollution

Hybrids still emit polluting gasses.
Biodesiel still emit fish and chips Image

I wonder where I could get some chrome 3d letters made? A BEV (eventually to be replaced with SHEV) badge in the same font as the Subaru badge would be subtle. But I like a bit of crypticness. Make'em guess, or at least google search. :P

Of course aeva.asn.au is pretty easy to remember, so that'd be good too.
