FS: Complete parts to make EV

Post by Kel »

Item: I had my 1985 RX7 Series 3 converted ten years ago. Today I am having all of the electrics removed and will sell them, and the car, separately.
The motor is a Netgain Impulse 9 and the controller is a Zilla. ALL parts are there for a conversion. There are 45 Thundersky Lithium batteries, 3.2 v. 180 ah. Over the years I have replaced about 5 of them. So although they are mostly 10 years old, they still move the RX7 along very well. There is life in the batteries so they will be a good starter pack. The car has also been fitted with electric air-conditioning (which needs attention). Electric power steering pump.
Location: Perth
Item Condition: All used. I have many other spare parts having bought an EV for wrecking. Spare motor (needs brushes and I have a new set) and various other items
Reason for selling: Ten years is long enough for me in a 1985 car. I wanted a car with more comforts.
Price: $4000 (neg)
Payment Method: To be arranged
Extra Info: My name is Kel

Just make sure they are under 200 kB or so.

And while it's sad to see an EV reverted to ICE, I can appreciate the desire for more comfort :)

I'm sure there will be plenty of interest!

Cheers,

Hi Kel, working out whether I have finances for these parts to kick my project off which stalled ages ago, it's a bargain! Assuming a 1k Zilla and the spare motor is an Impulse 9 too?

Hi Kel,
Merv, a recent new member is interested in the controller if you're parting it out. He's not got forum access sorted out yet, but I can relay information to him. I suspect he's forgotten his password...

Hi Kel,

I've only joined yesterday and am completely new to EV's. I'm also not able to post just yet but I found your thread and thought it would be perfect for my questions (hope you don't mind) I have always been into fast and/or powerful vehicles with ICE. I am extremely interested in EV's as I can see this is where the future lies. I do however still really like my old classic cars and my big F-Trucks. I have been doing a lot of reading up and I cant seem to find any info as to how to design a system. I really want to convert an old F-Truck. Would your system be adequate.

Cheers.

This is a good opportunity to use the mention functionality, it usually results in the individual concerned getting an email notifying them about your post...

@Kel, have you seen the queue of people wanting to buy your stuff?

Cheers @rhills I've sent a couple of PM's to @Kel too, maybe he just doesn't use the interwebs often.

@Scotty T, when you say "pm" is that the Private Messaging within the forum or did you email him? If you click on a username, you go to their profile page which enables you to email them as well. Some people elect not to be notified by email if they're sent a PM within the forum.
