EV-Power - experiences?

Post by aegidius »

Anyone dealt with EV-power recently? I'll be looking to get a price on some NCM cells and a watercooled ME motor for a motorcycle conversion. Any good/bad experiences with pricing, shipping, etc. welcome.
Giles.

I've worked extensively with Rod over the past 5 years - all quite positive.

Rod supplied the BMS for our 48V LiFePO4 stand alone battery. Works well, isolated battery when one cell voltage dropped during an extended discharge. When charge applied and BMS reset, all worked well again. I have not had any need to check on cell HV, but I am sure it will work as well as when on LV.
Very happy with the product and Rod's commitment to his customer (me)

Bought quite a few Winston cells from Rod over the last few yrs, even met him in person on one trip over that way last yr. I found Rod to be a likeable bloke and always been good to deal with as has Trev and Marcy from far nth Qld (Basicly Natural) so I think you should feel confident dealing with him.

Yeah known Rod for years.
Even though he lives 100's of k's from the Perth metro area he still managed to turn up to the odd AEVA meeting.
That's dedication!

I actually asked about one of the ME motors about a year or so ago.
Unfortunately he did not have the model I was after in stock and the point was it was difficult to get just the one motor in and make it worth his time.
Which I agreed with since I'm such as tight a$$.
I could have got one in from a US eV supplier but shipping and taxes made it less inviting.

In the end I had a custom motor made up using local suppliers.
Probably not really cheaper but at least my money stayed in AU.
So the short answer is NO but the long answer is YES.

Hi Rod, can you get Warp 9 motors in? I live in Margaret River.
