20kW+ Motor wanted..

Post by mortonpiers »

Looking for a BLDC, PMSM of at least 20kW continuous. Needs to be IP65 or better as its in a small offroad vehicle.

Looking for:
Nissan Leaf Motor, Motoenergy ME1616 or ME1507, Parker GVM (Brammo) or something similar. Liquid cooling ideal, but would consider air cooled.

Cheers

These might be a good place to start. Parker GVM do a wide range of motors too but they might be a bit too heavy for your application.

Depending on the application, the electric rear motor in some Toyota/Lexus hybrids (part # Q211) is approximately 50kW peak, is air cooled and has an integrated differential. You should be able to buy one locally from a wrecker from a Lexus RX400h. Even if from a high mileage vehicle it should be in good condition as they are an on demand motor so only run during initial acceleration and when traction requires.
