So 7 sets of ancillaries plus the 6 (depending on price) sets I'm chasing?

Can we get a 6th? ATM its $1,666 ea (not inc GST/shipping), is that cool with the above people?

Unfortunately the guy with the cheapest quote so far doesn't have any of the other stuff people are requesting. That may need to become a separate group buy.

I'm keeping an eye on the eBay auction. I've requested a quote for shipping and I'll probably make a bid based on that. The $1666 after import fees alone (not including shipping) will be over $2000. I'd need to stay under that for a motor alone (considering I already have one). Any more than that, I'd want to go all the way and get a controller to suit as well to save on fees. But they'd all have to come from the same seller.

TL:DR, Less than $2000 delivered is as high as I can go.

Are you sure that's not you top bidder? m***e.... looks an awful lot like mouse :P

That eBay listing has seemingly gone forever... still very cheap for all the stuff you get!! I'm very interested to see what the market values it at.

Not me. I think eBay randomizes the high bidder usernames anyway. I'm in a tight situation regarding bidding at the moment. Don't want to do it until I have an idea of shipping costs, but the auction ends soon and I'm also waiting for a bank transfer payment to clear. Hopefully all that happens by auction close.

Still at $1,200 AUD. It will be very interesting to see what this sells for.

It went for 3800 pounds, or about AU$5830.

As seems to often happen, the price shot up near the end.

Still, Jack Rickard is asking US$7000 for the 3 main items (not including the heater, pump, or air conditioning compressor).

A little more from Jack in his latest blog: Raid on Livonia.

It's coming to Melbourne.
A bit of work to be done on the canbus but I'm in no rush. I would like to fit it in an 818.
Will see in time.

It went for more than I was willing to spend (also, the money for my motorcycle sale only came through this afternoon, too late anyway).

Still a bargain! I'm sure a lot of people were watching that auction closely. There's probably several disappointed sellers, and a few buyers pleased with the resulting price.

Hope I'm not too late - I'm in for 3 at $2k ea.
I'd prefer whole sets with motor, eGearDrive & DMOC, but happy to collect the extras separately if need be - even from Jack, whose heart is in the right place (protect the vendors who are in the market for the long term by not undercutting their prices).

At this volume, perhaps we should just direct order from Siemens and get a warranty!?

I'm still trying to finalise the order with the supplier. Perhaps we have to go back to the previous quote.

Yeh, he also sets himself up to make about 300%+ profit... pretty decent on $100k if the interest doesnt kill him.

Siemens wont sell this motor in Australia unless you are looking at production vehicles. Already tried :(

Just FYI, the seller in the eBay auction contacted me offering an identical package for the same price as the winning bid. While that amount is more than I am able to spend at the moment, I did mention talk of this group-buy and requested a price list for what they have available. Might be worth waiting and seeing.

Hi All. Been lurking for some time. This motor looks the most promising for a conversion. Count me in for one at 2K.

The controller and transfer case listed earlier also look interesting. Any interest in a group buy of those parts?

At a minimum i need a controller and gearbox (in addition to the motor) to work out mounting arrangements. Ancillary pumps would be useful for me, but not critical to progress. I assume that many people will have similar problems so a group buy may work out, particularly in shipping costs for large and heavy items.

I think that the gearbox above is a very neat and easy match that would make the build easier than having to construct adapter plates. A controller just completes the set. :-)

The message I got was offering the same package that was listed on eBay, so all those same parts. I've asked for a list of parts they have available, but haven't heard back yet. It took them a few days to reply to my first question while the auction was still in progress, so I'll give them a few days then send a follow-up.

Lloyd from the first eBay sale has heaps of stock.
I think he mentioned he had 60ish sets.
He has been very helpful in creting the items to ISPN15 spec and liaising with my delivery man.
He mentioned he was listing another set soon.

Would you mind sharing what your shipping cost ends up being? Also, if he hasn't already shipped it, maybe we could piggy back on your shipment if we can get something together quickly. You'd probably be a better person to liase with him about our group purchase stuff if you're willing, since you're already in touch with him.
