2025 Riddara RD6 review

Post by navydiver »

We cannot buy it now. It is for sale in Thailand so perhaps it may arrive.

Little bits of chatter from Geely Australia CEO Lei Li

Tried the EX5. Nice but not really suitable for some of the uses I want.

Of interest to me was the new showroom in Geelong and the Dealer in Doncaster with the EX5.

It appears about to happen. When and what is the question

Link suggested "Prices starting from AED 139,000 (A$58,870) for the base Riddara RD6 Air (with 73kWh battery) and AED 169,500 (A$71,792) for the top-shelf Riddara RD6 Ultra X with 86kWh battery." look sharp. The Chinese JAC T9 showing China's ute supply is growing. A Show room full of them I ran past a few weeks ago was impressive. Just started noting them driving about now. Those are ICE only.

The RD6 might suit the grey nomad that wants to tow a light weight 5th wheeler. Enough area on the roof of a 5'er for a good solar array and the V2L to save the need for a big battery pack in the 5'er to support free camping.

The majority would be happy with a 250km range and parking up for a number of days for the solar to recharge the battery.
For that type of set up, I'd imagine the back seat would be deleted and long slideout drawer cabinets built in to replace it ..... and the doors modified to swing open over the front doors to allow plenty of access to the new storage area ..... and maybe a sleeping area between the drawer cabinets for the dog while travelling
