Free charging (and parking) coming to an end in COP Car Parks

Post by lordmortis »

From this article.

City Of Perth did, up until now, provide free EV charging in all the stacker car parks via standard 10 amp GPOs and 32 amp 3 phase plugs. They're going to start charging 45c/kWh starting on March 31 (though I'm not sure how they're gonna do this in unless they upgrade these charge points - which would be good anyway because having type 2's will be far more useful).

Good!

Free charging (even when paying for parking) isn't right. And having 9 x 7 kW charge points is always better than 3 x three-phase plugs. Makes much better use of the capacity.
