Tesla is in big trouble for just so many reasons; mainly revolving around incestuous, indulgent management behaviour of Board and CEO - permitting the auto division to founder completely due to lack of execution
China, now, has no serious competition, other than being financially hobled by free enterprise protection .....and the conflicts-of-interest there are too numerous to list.
Our experience of the BYD Seal is one that we miss less and less of the Tesla 'moats' as they are breeched one by one. Elimination of stalks was the proof that it was definitely over for us. UNBELIEVABLE stupidity !.

Musk has lost the plot entirely, trying to sue people because they won't do business with you is idiotic.

Xpeng looks good. They have never made petrol cars. I just hope the car is better quality than some of the Alibaba products the company founder made his money from :D

Putting quarterly margins ahead of basic customer expectations is just an example of amateurish gamers in a space they have no understanding of. The customer is king .... ALWAYS.
BYD Seal is a more premium vehicle than any Model 3 from our experience....and never having to find a wandering button makes Tesla completely irrelevant now.... and just so quickly.

Test driving today in Melbourne. The pricing is out. The statement they will have a tow bar ready for delivery and that it can tow my boat is making this 40k plus less than a Kia EV9 option look interesting. IF it works what to do with my MG4 of course :D

No point in selling it, with the recent price drop the resale value will have taken a serious hit ..... better to wait till next yr when the prices stabilise a bit more ......

Prices are interesting. If I was investing, I would take a differing view.

Test drive was interesting. Towing data was promised. The Tech was far above my MG4.

The car I was in yesterday was able to park itself and other party tricks. My Nuclear investments are going a bit nutty on growth via AI. The share price of a chip company has sky rocketed due to AI.

Back to the car. It had a NVIDIA OrionX processor NVIDIA DRIVE In-Vehicle Computing for Autonomous Vehicles | NVIDIA

The car was in tech terms not significantly different to many others about now which are far more expensive. It has integrated AI via that processor and integration with 5 HD Millimeter wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 12 cameras.

Aside from the party tricks I did think 'what if?' What if the remote control function overrode my control

I am not paranoid. Security is an ever evolving field all by itself with AI driven changes almost old school compared to Q day event which may or may not occur any time soon???

I like driving. The car I was in could almost self drive. Noting the world would be safer if a few Very Very Good Drivers noticed yesterday never ever drove themselves again.

If the towing data is supplied and is a good as promised I will be ordering one.

This is really interesting. For a Q day event, it means any of these connected cars could be hacked. Most people have just been considering the possibility of the Chinese goverment controlling Chinese cars without hacking them. These look like a really good car. The G3i would be more the size of car I am after.

Norway testing in Summer and Winter results noted on Xpeng and others are very interesting.

Having trouble accessing the ordering for xpeng6 . I was waiting for the towing part to be included as I hate promises.

Listing Experience Centers with no address?

In Vic one at 174 Coventry St, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205 and another in Coburg with no address https://xpeng.com.au/find-us

One shown as coming in Burwood.

I appreciate it can and tricky to start a new business. I am not a gambler and will not buy anything unless I know the warranty and repairs are assured.

Two of the Victorian sites have hours open shown now. Ditto for sites in other states.

I may drop in and ask about the tow bar issue again now.
