Newish Mercedes EQE350 SUV

Post by SoonToBeMerc »

Hello All,
Brand new to this forum and introducing myself, unsure of protocols and rules so go easy please..
This post in view of purchasing a near new EQE350 SUV. For the most part, range is not an issue as running short distance around Mornington and charging off a substantial PV system @ home. However, said EV will be travelling up to Falls Creek 5 times per year, there will need to be careful charge planning around that, particularly during winter. Given some rather poor feedback from some EQC owners, I am gauging user experience and interaction with Merc dealers / Merc head office in relation to this EV.

I watched 3/4 of this https://www.google.com.au/search?q=eqe+ ... 2vixM,st:0 to try and get an idea about the vehicle, but even at 2 times speed, I was starting to lose the will to live ;)

The trip to Falls Creek, would it be via Yea or up the highway ..... Will you have a recharge point at Falls Creek? There are a number of charging spots at Euroa, so about half way and maybe a good lunch stop, that would relieve the range angst with al the hill climbing and heater operation.

Travelling to Falls Creek via Bright would give you peace of mind with charging. On a drive up Mount Buffalo I used 4% of battery going up and got 3% back coming down, and did not have to use the (mechanical) brakes at all.
