I rather fancied the Mazda MX-30 electric with the rotary engine range extender (charges the battery) see: https://www.drive.com.au/news/2023-mazd ... -revealed/
The technology of the car impressed me.
But I couldn't wait for this to be released in Australia and went for an Ioniq 5 fully electric, with a 3 month delivery time, instead.
After a few weeks of range anxiety therapy (paid for from my fuel savings) I would definitely say there is no need for a range extender after all.
