Hi folks,
We're plotting a trip to Winton QLD in September and I'm wondering if anyone has successfully used the Tesla destination chargers in Emerald and Barcaldine on a non-Tesla vehicle?

According to Plugshare and the photo on plugshare, Barcaldine has a standard 3 phase socket so you could bring a 32A EVSE charge cord.
Daihatsu charade conversion 2009-18, Mitsubishi iMiEV 2013-2019, Holden Volt 2018-2019, Hyundai Kona 2019-2023, Hyundai Ioniq 5 2023-present on the ACT's 100% renewable electricity.

Yes, and the same at Emerald and Alpha. I think that's how the trip is going to roll. I'm looking at the OpenEVSE unit.Peter C in Canberra wrote: ↑Tue, 18 May 2021, 17:05 According to Plugshare and the photo on plugshare, Barcaldine has a standard 3 phase socket so you could bring a 32A EVSE charge cord.
About now I'm wishing I had bought the M3 with its 22kW charger. C'est la vie!

Re: QLD Travel
M3 has a 11Kw max charger. I had a look on plugshare, but no mentions of non-Tesla's.

Re: QLD Travel
When the original poster does the trip, please try the Tesla destination chargers first and add a note to PlugShare to say whether they are set to promiscuous or Tesla-only. BTW. It can take a while for the handshake with the car because they try to talk Tesla first before trying Universal.

Thanks for the correction, not sure where I got 22kW from...
Yes, I looked at Plugshare but thought I should ask here on the off chance that someone knew, but was keeping quiet on plugshare.
Yes, I will. We need to open things up as much as possible.Peter C in Canberra wrote: ↑Thu, 20 May 2021, 10:13 When the original poster does the trip, please try the Tesla destination chargers first and add a note to PlugShare to say whether they are set to promiscuous or Tesla-only. Re: QLD Travel
It depends on type of charger, some problems could happened. Can you specify your charger?
Re: QLD Travel
Kona electric on board - Type 2, single phase, 7.2kW.
I've successfully used a few Tesla destination chargers that work with the Kona (noted in plugshare).
