The 2019 Zero SR-F

A million sites have covered it already, so here's a pictures and stats: 200 km around town, maybe 160 km on the highway, but only if you add the 'power tank' to the bike, bringing the total capacity closer to 18 kWh.
14.4 kWh is still a lot of battery on a bike though. At almost 240 kg, it's portly.

Nice to see they've finally made one that looks good.

Would the hot swap battery idea work with electric bike racing? Would one of these things be competitive on the race circuit against the ICE powered units?

Re: The 2019 Zero SR-F
Its got about half the horsepower of Voltron, but considerably more range. If Voltron had the same capacity battery it would weigh about the same as the SR-F, but still have more power.
Battery swapping is a doddle with most electric motorcycles. If we had a reason to do it we'd do it... but as it is we had so few races a day we could just charge up between races.

I was thinking more along the lines of a pit stop refuel so the electric bikes could compete with the ICE powered units in the longer events.

You would never swap a pack out fast enough to beat gas bikes. Not even MotoGP does pit stops (unless it's raining and they swap to wet bikes).

Nice bike but unobtainable as a unicorn in Au, meanwhile across the little ditch people in NZ are personally importing them (Zero's in general).
Would that our country wasn't so painful on importing.
