Yes
Tesla modules from a crashed 90kwh.
That had done 4000 miles in 2016

Need to make sure it doesn’t end up like this

Hence taking so long

Shitte, glad I saw this before I lashed out the $$ for Tesla battery packs to power the Kombi when it comes time.

In the ridiculous rides video he talks about the one currently being built being for someone in Perth, Australia, is that yours then?

I genuinely wonder what is the cost breakdown of these cars.

Even bringing one's own battery 'merely' cut the cost by USD200k. R&D?

Hi Joseph,

To build production Tangos that could be sold for $45k at 2,500 per year would require about $50-million USD.
To bring the price down to $30k would require about $150-million in capital and a production rate of 15,000 per annum.

There is also the possibility of building kit cars that don’t have to meet all the regulations required for full production.
Those can be sold in any volume in the US, but in australia, you can build either 25 or up to 100 a year with a little more regulation.
With $5-million or so, I think we could get the price for kits or low-volume Tangos down to $60k or so. That would take a year of redesign with a small team.
I have the people available that can accomplish that. I just don’t have money to pay them.
The previous paragraph is for full certification, including destructive crash tests, airbags, etc.

Please find attached business plan with engineering plan and alternative-volume spreadsheets.

All that’s needed is capital. I can assemble a team to to make it happen. By myself, I’m very limited, as you can tell, as I have to make a living to pay home and rent on the shop with no income other than social security, income from real estate sales and income from doing deliveries.

I’m currently working hard to save money so that I can give my full attention to finidsing your Tango without running out of money.

Best,

Rick

Hi Joseph,

I could see a way to structure the Tango to fit in the categories of Econimic and Infrastructure, as we had planned for Auckland, or Industry.

Not sure which section the tango would fit in.

Please feel free to use it any way you can. My goal it to get the Tango into volume production, even if I don’t make any money at it.
I have controlling vote of Commuter Cars, and my family has roughly 80% of the stock. I do with it as I please, and it would please me
to build Tangos in Australia.

Thanks,

Rick
