We filled our theatre at the State Cinema (120 seats). Our branch chair Penny Cocker did a great job as MC.
The Minister for State Growth Matthew Groom, RACT's Darren Moody and TasNetworks CEO Lance Balcombe all gave addresses. Then our treasurer Clive Attwater gave a compelling presentation on the case for a statewide electric highway.
Following the presentations was a spirited Q&A session with four EV owners.
Outside we managed to find room for five EVs/hybrids and the RACT EV charge trailer.
We had many enquiries about membership so hopefully our branch will grow even further. Congratulations on the organisers for a great event!
Photo of the lovely State Cinema from the front.
And from the back. The glass section is where you have your coffee afterwards.
A typical Hobart winter scene.
The RACT EV charge trailer. Darren said that it has been around for a few years, it helped out after the Dunalley bushfires. Hopefully one day it will be used for its intended purpose!
