Sunshine Coast, EV display, your car? 7th June

Post by EmpowerRepower »

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and please excuse the cross-post from the general discussion section, but some will know me from OzLeaf or Energy Matters. I'm a new owner of a Nissan Leaf, and have an interest in raising awareness of EVs. I've arranged to display my car at the World Environment Day event at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Sunday June 7th. My hope is to get a few different types on EVs on display, three or four, so that people can see the variety. Kurt/offgridQLD has kindly agreed to bring along his I-Miev, and I'm now seeking owners of non-Leaf/I-Miev EVs to join us. Perhaps a BMW i3 or a Holden Volt or an Outlander PHEV or a Tesla. If you think you would be interested, please pm me asap. It would be a full day of being parked for display, but you wouldn't need to stay with the car, unless you wanted to hang around and chat to people. I went to WED last year, and it was full of interesting activities and good food. I'm also hoping to set up a display board, but need to find a board first.

Hi there. Another new member for the forum. I am interested in attending the day at Sippy Downs with my BMW i3 and also know of a second person who is keen on doing same with his i3. Wondering if you could enlighten us regarding finding out some further info about the event. Would be doing the drive from Brisbane and are wondering firstly about things like have you got enought takers yet, the mix of cars, would you like a couple of i3's. Also access to power for a top up while on display of course and any other items of note. Thanks for whatever details you can provide as we are both looking forward to sharing the good news about EV driving.
