Hi to all forum readers!

Seems like GM in the US is getting serious about developing longer range phev and BEV cars...

new chev ev's in two years

Anton Wahlman, highly respected Automotive Journalist writing here for The Street sat in on the conference call on GMs' analyst meeting earlier today/

What he has to report on the comments of GM's Global Product Developement Vice President and former North American GM President Mark Reuss are outright stunning.

"GM's Triple Assault on Tesla -- Including a Range-Topping Cadillac Plug-In"

"[...]
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- At its analyst meeting Wednesday, GM (GM) announced some big news about its future quest to take down Tesla (TSLA) . GM will have -- at a minimum -- three distinct plug-in electric cars, attacking the market in a major way. Production is slated to start in 2015 and 2016.

GM's head of product development Mark Reuss gave a blistering presentation to financial analysts in Detroit. I listened to the presentation via telephone, so I didn't see the pictures of the prototypes shown to the participants in person.[...]"

Hopefully they'll read my volt review and fix the issues by then.
Then hopefully I'll be like Danny DeVito in the movie Revenge of the Electric Car where he he said he will buy a Chev again.
He somehow shied away from Chevs for many years.

According to one of the Perth AEVA members, the issue could be related to a bad earth.

car computer glitches etc. IHHO are due to bad earths.
And he has discovered this from personal experience with cars.

in the meantime I am using the $AUD 350 10A Holden EVSE for the imiev.

the BMW i8 comes with a 8A Clipper Creek EVSE.
and doesn't have DC fast charge just like the Volt
and the Outlander PHEV also doesn't have DC fast charge in Aus, just like the Volt.

Great to hear evil GM is working harder in the EV market but their product is no better than a previously Oz lovally made Hyundai Getz EV

This is so ugly and cheap looking Im surprised they havent canned it yet.
Its nothing like their awesome 90s effort with EV1

If GM or any big player made a retro mini van they would rule in Asia and urbanised areas with little space which is pretty much every big city now.

something like this VW EV Kombi yes pls!
