60 Ah NMC prismatic cells 20 kWh worth $6000 ono

Post by jonescg »

Hi all,

I need to sell these prismatic LiYuan cells for Pauline. They were originally going to be installed into her iMiEV, but she needs to sell the car ASAP. So we installed the original battery back in and it's good for about 80 km range. Another sale thread for that soon - maybe $8000?

Anyway, the cells are these ones from Jack Zhang - 3.7 V nominal, 4.2 V fully charged, 2.8 V empty.
The terminals are aluminium and have an M4 threaded hole for copper terminations. I have made up 12 separate polycarbonate boxes (10 for 8s, and 2 for 4s) to suit the iMiEV, but they might also serve as a useful enclosure for any application. Of course, if you want to convert your iMiEV to use these cells you are most welcome - I have the BMS blanking boards and everything. I have the copper buslinks cut up ready for a series installation. It would be ideal to keep the current draw below 20 A as I'm not convinced the threaded pads are all that great. The thread including pictures of the cells and all the gear can be found here:

Alternatively, the 90 cells would make for a 333 V DC battery which is ideal for any high voltage hybrid inverter like Goodwe ET series https://www.goodwe.com.au/energy-storag ... -278_7.asp or the Fronius Symo https://www.solargain.com.au/sites/defa ... utions.pdf

Any BMS capable of talking to an inverter can work - ZEVA or Batrium works.

Asking $6000 for the whole lot, enclosures, BMS blanking boards for the iMiEV and all. I can arrange shipping at your expense; it might come to $250 or so.

BUMP!

I need space in my shed. Who wants 90 of these NMC cells? It's about 20 kWh all up.

*triggered*

😡

Not enough of them anyway, it would be both short range and underpowered.
