That's a bummer. What voltage is the DC/DC converter designed for?

For some reason I only get the photos now on Gumtree, none of the text description. I'm running IE 11 so maybe there site people no longer support IE.

Thank you Brendon, much appreciated.
The Fb1-4001 has a max voltage of 144vdc, is that nominal as in 45 cells @ 3.2v nom. or a ceiling upper voltage limit? Could it be used with another controller at say 273.6vdc max, nom. 243v, 76 cells @ 3.2v nom? Maximum RPM would be insane and useless really, but the torque figures would be a lot better and the curve a lot flatter wouldn't they .... or would the smoke just come out?

above 45 cells you get arcing at the brushes (ends up being around 130v)
Some motor controllers allow you to set a motor voltage limit, allowing you to use a higher voltage pack

max rpm is still a mechanical limit, starting at around 5500rpm when cold and falling when hot (the banding weakens with temperature)

Thank you Matt. Should have realised it would be a brush type motor and I have no interest in those. Price was certainly good for anyone who was after that sort of thing.
