leaf battery shell
So I've come into possession of a complete leaf battery
I've already taken out all the modules (using them for Vectrix's)
I was originally going to see what new cells I could get to fit into it, with a view to upgrade a leaf at some point.
since getting it, I've discovered you can now put the newer 30kwh, 40kwh and likely 60kwh batteries as is into a 24kwh leaf, meaning I'm wasting my time trying to do a conversion (so to speak)
So I have the shell of a leaf battery sitting in my back yard
There's probably 100kg worth of steel in this thing (a shocking amount of weight).
I'll likely take it to the scrap metal place in a few months
I thought I would mention it here, in case someone somewhere wants it instead. I'm happy to see it gone for scrap metal value
I do have the leaf BMS and full wiriing harness too. I'm not sending that to the scrap metal place, but can include if you have a project.
If you would like a leaf battery shell, feel free to get in contact

Re: leaf battery shell
Was it?
I'd prefer it went somewhere local. Just seems wrong to ship empty steel across the country. But am open to ideas
I'm hoping someone can crack the bms, so we can use future batteries as is for home storage

Re: leaf battery shell
I wish it was on this side of the country. I believe they are actually made in Melbourne. There must be someone who knows someone.

Re: leaf battery shell
Hey Matt, yeah I'll take possession of the case if it's in better condition than the one I clearly paid too much for. We can scrap the one I have instead.
