95% recycled ( my ev) is looking for a 2nd hand 144v lithium batteries.
I missed out on the i3 20kwh wreck a few months ago. Just seeing if anyone knows or is looking at selling/upgrading their packs that may be able to meet my needs. 20kwh +( unicorns).
Budget 6k. Tesla cells are out of reach as of today( wife said no).

What is the vehicle it's going in again? 20 kWh of prismatic NMC will cost about $7k - could be what you're chasing?

20kw is a start because current base oem packs seem about that atm.
Got a d22 ute calculation say 400wh per mile.
That would give me 60k to flat pack i would love 30kw.
Heat going to be my biggest foe up here.

250 Wh/km is at the very bad end of the scale - more likely it will be around 200 Wh/km, affording about 100 km.
Yeah, and these NMC cells are more sensitive to heat. One solution is to mount the cells on an aluminium cooling plate and pulling cooled cabin air across them in addition to what the cooling loop can provide.

If a good oem pack comes up like i3 had. Be a better option due to ease of fitting. But to try and keep it to its name 95% and more importantly cost ( wife does projects ok , just not investments lol).
Might just have to keep the lead acids for a bit longer.

I just ordered the E63 cells for A$271/kwh. You could have got 22kwh. I can check if they have been sent if you are interested I may still be Ble to add them to the order.

Pity this thread started a few days too late. I could have supplied a 144v 23kWh reconditioned lithium battery pack for that price, complete with a 12mth back up warranty if it was for a house set up, would add the warranty if it was for an EV set up though, too hard a life is possible in an EV. I have already back out of the deal that would have provided that battery pack and I believe someone has already grabbed it.

Hi Dan, are you looking for a house battery or an EV battery, cell size as well as expected load need to be considered as well.

But they're just on the wall - well within reach.
FREE ENERGY

Sorry you just have to keep actively looking.
Something will turn up eventually.

Ahh..... helps if you read with your eyes linked to the brain eh  These were 160Ah Winston cells, not sure they would fit in the battery area available.

I'll keep an eye out for anything that is on the horizon. I have 28 x 100Ah Sinopoly cells, but you need 45 cells so that is no good to you. I probably have the other 17 cells needed as 90Ah Thundersky cells (same physical size), but I doubt they would be suitable for an EV battery because they have had a rather hard life.
If I decide to swap out the 40Ah GBS cells in the Prius I'll let you know, there are 76 of those from memory, but I doubt that would be enough capacity for what you need. Maybe another 14 comparative cells might turn up so you could run a 2P45S pack to give 80Ah @ 144v.

T1 Terry

Bugga, reread the opening post and you are looking for 140Ah min cells to give you 20kWh @ 144v, so you would need at least another 59 cells to match up with the cells from the Prius.

Atm i be happy with any lifepo cells. 144v being my maximum limit. 144v being max power without putting stress on the curtis controller.
But if 120 v is better to get me into the lithium game. And to complete the ev bulid, and more importantly the family can see the value, and in turn the funds realeased to go Tesla cells .
That is fine with me. I have 100ah of lead cells ATM.
And is very limit range .
