LFP battery, 48 V 180 Ah

Post by jonescg » Sat, 20 Apr 2019, 12:43

I'm selling my Power Cabinet as I don't really have a use for it. It's too small for adapting to household storage, and it's a bit daggy to be mounted somewhere prominent.
Located in Perth Hills.

It consists of 144 GBS 20 Ah LFP cells, bolted together in a 16s9p arrangement. It theoretically holds 9 kWh, but I've only ever seen 8 kWh from it before one cell group drops to 2 V.
It has an EV Power balance bleeder on each cell group and as a result the system is very well balanced. It comes with a fuse board where you can hook up low power 48 volt loads like lights and fridges, but for heavier loads you will need to bolt onto the main terminals. Isolater, shunt and 125 A fuse included in the hardware. It has Riv-nuts all around it so you can put walls on to keep the spiders and conductive things out.

Asking $2000 for the lot. I'd like to keep the 48 V charger, but if that's a deal breaker for you I'll throw it in. Would suit a beach shack or other small off-grid cabin. Of course you can use the cells for whatever you like, but you're taking the whole lot away. It doesn't come with an inverter - but they can be bought off eBay easy enough.

Cheers,
Chris

Sold to a bloke with a boat! Should make a sweet off-grid (and off-land) system for them.
