Posted on behalf of Sparky Brother. The images have to be resized so that they are less than 100 kB each.

I have to ask (or someone else will): is that some sort of gunk on the bonnet, or the paint peeling?

Also, what model year it it?

Car is already stripped of the Engine (sold), Gear/transmission box, Front differential and all the rest of the unnecessary to an electric car bits an pieces like tank, pipelines, exhaust etc.

I don`t know if that helps but the car`s registration is current till September 2011.

The Inverter on sell is an Altivar Telemecanique ATV58HD54N4 380...500VAC, 37kW - high torque applications and 47kW - standard applications.
....
I will be more than happy to answer any question that I know the answer of. ...

It is very tempting and I'm in Victoria,

I just got a small 4WD after using other peoples cars and public transport for 3 years.Image
Still interested as now I've gat a car to get around in while converting.

Lots of support for the Rocky/Feroza's.

If I'm wrong on the following please advise.
- this one "It`s a Daihatsu Feroza EL 1996" is the F300 ???
- (The Rocky was a 1992 Feroza )
- The 96 Feroza has leafs on rear with live axle
- and Double wishbone on front with torsion bars
- (Was confused as some Daihatsu's have wishbone fronts)

Just considering running separate front/rear motors.
But not a must.
- Diff ratio's Front & Rear are 5.285 (37/7)
- Transfer Ratio is H/L 1:1 / 1:1.754

Does it have a tow bar/ball?

Does the Controller have the DB (Dynamic Braking) Option?
Or any other options?

And I take it you need it sold by 12/11/2010 not 2011. Image

Yes. No resistor but the braking IGBT is built in.
The only other option of note is that is has RS485 built in.

"The Altivar 58 has an RS 485 multidrop serial link with simplified Modbus protocol as part of the standard product. The
serial link is used to connect PLCs, a PC or one of the available programming tools."

The Daihatsu Feroza, you say you've sold the motor and stripped the mechanicals like front diff and gearboxes but do you still have them? An electric 4x4 with an ICE recharge unit till fuel cells becomea reality could be a very interesting project.
