David's Charade Lithium upgrade

Post by drowe67 » Wed, 30 Dec 2009, 14:34

Hi,

I have just moved from a lead acid to a Lithium pack of 36 100AH Sky Energy Cells. I have blogged on the Lithium conversion including lots of thoughts on battery rack construction.

To stick to my budget (and please my wife) I adapted my lead acid chargers to work with the Lithium pack, and designed and built my own BMS controller (master unit).

I have blogged on the BMS Controller as well. The BMS controller is a really simple analog design, picture below:

It works well with the EV Works CM090 BMS modules.

Cheers,

David

Wow David - you have been busy.
You have lots to "show and tell" at the next meeting.

Hello Eric,

I use gschem, part of the gEDA package. It's Linux based free software.

Cheers,

Thanks David - I found TinyCAD for Windows (this morning) works well.
