What is involved in becoming a financial member of the AEVA? I've seen the different classifications under a members name but only realised there was more to it after reading a post on the forum transfer thread.

It's worth pointing out that there's only one category of membership, notwithstanding anything you might have seen or read on other threads.

Some people volunteer for committees and/or other functions, but we're still ordinary members.

Hi Terry,

There are three Membership Types:

Ordinary Membership (aka Annual) $40.00 per annum

Concession Membership (aka Annual Concession)
(Students, Pensioners, Seniors, Health Card, etc.) $20.00 per annum

Corporate Membership (aka Annual Corporate) $100.00 per annum

Note: As of 1 July, 2014 new AEVA memberships are now date based. That is, your membership is for one year from the date you joined. For example, if you join on August 3rd, your renewal date will be August 3rd the following year.        All members who joined prior to 1 July, 2014 will retain their renewal date of 1 July each year, except if these members let their membership expire - and then renew.

More information and FAQ are available on the AEVA Website under the Membership tab.

The main page is here:

AEVA Membership

Note: The logins for the AEVA Forum and AEVA website are completely separate.

AEVA members are able to place entries in the "For Sale/Wanted" section of the forum. A forum moderator can check membership criteria and then gives AEVA members access via their updated profile..

The system will not allow me to enter via my forum logo, so I guessed I needed to fill in an application for membership. I got as far as the captcha code at the bottom and I can't decipher what the hell it's supposed to represent, it's just a swirl of colours.

Hi Terry,

The Captcha should not be there - it seems to appear after a server update.

I will ask our Webmaster to get rid of it and report back.

You will have to establish a new login for the AEVA website.

Thankyou Eric. I even tried the blurred vision thing where you can see pictured within a random pattern, but it just made my headache. Margaret even tried it and she could see Weber's picture on his living room wall within a few mins but she couldn't make anything out of it, so I'm guessing the code isn't actually in there, just the background

Captcha question is still there with no characters in the box, just coloured lines, but it did take my money on PayPal this time, so I'm now a member who can't log in
