Chademo vs Combo - old news
Plug (socket) sizes compared:
* CHAdeMO = 77 x 82.4mm = 6,344 sq. mm [Ref: (1)]
* J1772 Combo = 66 x 93.7mm = 6,184 sq. mm [Ref: (2) see page 15]
* Mennekes Combo = 75 x 100mm = 7,500 sq. mm [Ref: (3) see page 27 (caveat: may be too old to be accurate)]
(PS: Jeez it's hard to find references to the dimensions of the "international standards". But CHAdeMO is right there, easy to find - I wonder why the Japanese got screwed again after being first to market. Similar story with the standardisation of contactless smartcards.)
