Hi,
Here's an opinion piece on the ABC online.
In the first photo, spot the polluting vehicles.

Quoting from the news, "Such holistic reform would enable a future transport system".

We'll never get there if we (as a country, and unfortunately most citizens also fall to this trap) see the mobility as a goal, instead of accessibility. Long read here: https://www.resourcesmag.org/common-res ... -planning/

So ultra-low-polluting vehicles providing mobility combined with accessibility, you think? As well as, instead of "instead of"

Very low pollution transport, in your face.

Better accessibility, we're doing something but we don't see it - current preferred inaction that is very difficult to evaluate. And if it costs, easy to evaluate . Still a good idea.

If the oil company accountants of the late 1970's had realised that a particular species was going to ruin the planet's ecosystem, they would have been on to their media friends to demand a fix very fast.

Musk said that it takes Government money to create mining in space and similar things, because no company will proceed with very expensive projects that have no determinate date or outcome.

It takes World money and very specific direction to avoid a slow catastrophe. Our own Government will have to change when the dominant Governments make their change. And our Government will have made no preparations for the change. Remember who our Governments have been. They will deserve the credit. Slow change, but determined. Change.
