EV Charging Stations on Google Maps
I just read this article on All Cars Electric, detailing how you can find a charge by searching for the phrase "EV Charging Station". So far in Perth it appears that only EV Shop is listed with that catagory. But it seems like a good idea if those of us willing to share some power put our addresses in. Much like that PlugShare application for iphones, we could list locations and their details in regular old google maps. Sounds good to me!
I'll drive an electric vehicle one day.

EV Charging Stations on Google Maps
Just found another site that has more charge points listed for Perth.
http://evtricity.com
All the WA listings are Westfield shopping centres in Cannington, Innaloo and Whitford City.

EV Charging Stations on Google Maps
There are a couple of ways to try to get Google to cooperate,
but I have worked with them for months to get old EVSE listings
cleaned up here in the U.S. and they are a very hard corporate
nut to crack. Bottom-line: they are just not worth the effort/
trouble.
I have looked at several EV Charging finder sites in an effort
to try to get one that is easy for EV drivers to use. (The
short of it) recargo.com has ease of use features: search, add,
modified, GPS, I-Was-Here-Notes, plus put up pictures so you
know what to look for.
According to the many-many newswires I go through, I see new
Aussie EVSE installations pieces. I have added some of them to
recargo for you to look at, and go check on if you are in the
area. The following are 'soon to come' status but when they are
online I hope a local EV driver updates the listings:
http://www.recargo.com/sites/1744
Telstra 667 Hay Street Perth, WA 6000, Australia
http://www.recargo.com/sites/1745
Water Corporation 629 Newcastle St Leederville, WA 6007, Australia
http://www.recargo.com/sites/1746
Landcorp, Level 3 40 The Esplanade Perth, WA 6000. Australia
-more-
Recargo.com is continually improving itself. Currently its add form
is set up for us Yanks (US format), but I was able to add Australian
and UK sites anyway if you save the information properly. i.e.:
The add form may not port over the whole address, and you ensure what
address is shown on the maps program is on the add form.
After the zip code, I add , Australia
Instead of 6000
I change it to 6000, Australia
Recargo could work well for Aussies, and I encourage you to take a
look and give it a try. Registration is free and fast. It can't hurt
to check it out.

evtricity.com has listings but what if you want to add a comment
that it will be down for repair for a month, or add a picture of
the EVSE or the entrance to the parking lot, etc.
Recargo.com does do this and why I recommend it over any other
so-called EV charging finder site. It is soo-much better.

EV Charging Stations on Google Maps
Sorry to commit thread necromancy, but i was in MtLawley the other day (for a wake, sadly) when i discovered a charging station in a car park on the corner of Beaufort St, and Barlee St.
Here it is
There's only one, right in the eastern corner of the car park, entry is via Beaufort St at the western end. It doesn't seem to be listed anywhere, that i can find.
*edit
I added it to OSM (though the particular attribute i used is still proposed, so it doesn't show up on the map unless you're editing it.) and "Open Charge Map", too.
