Hi
This is something I have been working on. I have secured the provisional patents and planning a physical proof of concept prototype. The invention is intended for electric road vehicles but could find a place in robotics.
It has the advantages of an in-wheel motor, without the unsprung mass issues. And, an active suspension system, without the additional mass and space issues
please see these 2 you tube links for animations to help explain the system https://youtu.be/qxKJu_-0rUA andhttps://youtu.be/ysS5IErzXb0
I am interested in your comments questions advice whether they be technical or raising capital for development.

Re: active suspension in-wheel motor design
Hi Michael,
Sorry I couldn't chat on the phone the other day when you called - we had a fire alarm and I'm a warden...
But I've forwarded your design to Kevin Hayward, an engineer at ECU Motorsport who might have some more informed perspectives than myself.
