If anybody has photos from Electrikhana, please post them up here! We're going to have lots of follow up on the day, so plenty pf pictures to choose from would be great. I have a bad habit of getting so busy during the day I never take a single picture

Any video would be great too!

good to know that the 3m cable is long but OHS enough.

pics are a bit blurry cos they were up loaded to Recargo then screen captured.

Just heard that Electrikhana and the Electric Highway might make the 7:30 report tonight, depending on other news stories breaking. I don't have to remind the ABC tragics, but for everyone else, tune to channel 2 tonight!

step 1:- they put the price up because people are using less and its not covering the cost of repair

step 2:- people look for ways to reduce the bill from the price rise to bring there bill down

there cash flow coming in drops see step 1

several rounds of this and you have about 1/5 the population carnt afford to have power any more

go back to step 1

and so on and on and on you get the idea

We're waiting on a 7:30 report on EVs, but in the meantime it does make for interesting reading.

Yeah But I said "other than being on ABC"...
Really it could have been in it's own thread.

But as it turns out I discussed this issue with eV works at the Electrikhana to make it relevant.
They spend millions of $$ to provide power to these outer areas and it is in no way profitable to do so.
The fact is remote towns with intermittent power can go off grid as the option.
They don't need to wait for the SWIS to do something.

We even had a laugh about Western power not wanting to disconnect you and threatening to cut your power off if you don't pay.
