Mazda 121 Metro Locomotive transporter

Hi Guys
Just joined the member list today so hello to all.
My name is Geoff and I joined the AEVA in January this year.
Last year was spent building a miniature 5 inch gauge railway, an electric locomotive and riding trucks.
I’ve had a lot of fun messing about with the electrical traction system and now I want to move on the bigger things.
I plan to convert my 2001 Mazda 121 this year but haven’t made the final decision on the equipment to be installed.
It’s difficult to get going on this project because it’s not like just going down to the local supermarket and filling the trolley. There is so much to consider and a fair amount of financial outlay so is important to make the right decisions.
I have only ever seen one converted car - Dave Sharps Daihatsu Charade
So generally I’m relying on the internet and the monthly AEVA meetings for information (like most of you I guess :)
If there is anyone on the Mornington peninsula who is about to or in the process of a conversion I would love to hear from you.
Cheers,
Geoff _C
