Increased Internal Resistance

While the crowds want more battery capacity, I'm content with more fast charger networks, i.e. stops more.

However, I recently found out the degraded battery of my Nissan Leaf considerably increase (fast) charging time, i.e. more than doubled!! Yikes!! :o

My 'Hx' degrades pretty bad, and slows down the charger very, very early on (less than 50% SoC). Sad :cry:

I had Dunning-Kruger moment today. I thought I know my lithium battery equivalent circuit. How wrong I was!! Anyhoo, my grief with my aging Leaf battery is not so much due to internal resistance, but highly increased polarisation effect.

I had another experiment with fast charging with much lower SoC, expecting longer 50kW session. To my surprise, it behaved similar with my previous experiment. So, it's not internal resistance!
