"Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has announced that he plans to begin tackling climate change by committing, among other things, to meet the goals of the UN’s Paris Agreement, as well as purchasing 100,000 vans from electric automaker Rivian, after the company had already invested $700M in the electric truck maker in February."

100,000 vans as a delivery contract over an extended period of time. Its not like they can get them all at once.

Should be good to establish Rivian as a brand with a contract that'll span several years. Also, if they are making 'Dedicated' parcel delivery vans they can try to sell the vehicle to all the other postal and local delivery businesses as well, maybe even initially design to be easy to manufacture in RHD and LHD so they can target world wide markets
