While developing a handy visualisation tool to help users select which Plug-In model is best suited for their purpose I came to realise, that although there has been well over a 100 BEV and PHEV models introduced to the global market in the last six years, prospective buyers have actually very limited choices in the various vehicle categories. Some models are only for specific geographies, while other manufacturers have run into financial trouble or only produce a limited number of units. However, another fact that's very clear from my analysis is that there is going to be sea change by 2020 and that we are in the midst of a complete change in the auto sector as many manufacturers aim to change their mix of EV to combustion type vehicle drastically. Most manufacturers aim to have well over 50% of their model mix for EV's by 2025. Have a look at the EV Select tool on wattev2buy.com and see which EV is best for you.
