NYX 2015 : The World's First Carbon Fiber E-Bike F

Post by NYXBikes » Mon, 26 Jan 2015, 16:05

Hey all,

We’ve been working for 2 years on a project and want to get the word out to any curious folks out here. It’s the world’s first carbon E-Bike Frame Fit, worth taking a sneak peak: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ny ... nav_search

NYX 2015 is a hand-crafted universal E-Bike Frame Kit that can be used to salvage your existing bicycle into an electric bike. It can also be used to start any custom E-Bike project.

A few specs:
16L Battery Space
6.1KG (13.5lbs)
Weld-free for guaranteed alignment
Universally compatible
Early-bird prices on the KickStarter

Give us your thoughts!

I'm interested to hear others' thoughts on this one.

Adverse obviously believes this is spam. I personally consider it to be of potential interest to EV enthusiasts and would be inclined to allow a single post (this one) by the proponents about their product. I agree that cross-posting to multiple forums is not on and I've deleted this post from the other forum (Lounge).

However, if the majority view is that I am wrong and that this message should be disallowed, I'll delete it.

This one didn't immediately pop up as spam - partly because it's on topic and it was just the one post...

I'm in the allow it camp

I don't know it seems he has worked hard to make an EV and wants to tell us about it.

Ok I like the idea that it could be used as a late-night dirt bike.
However many local councils still wouldn't allow it to be used in reserves.
So it would still need to be driven to semi-rural areas to be legal (in AUS).

That said there ARE lat-night dirt bike riders and I personally would prefer them to use this.
Mainly cos I like sleeping. Image

While on topic and potentially of interest to others in the form of being an EV, I'm inclined to agree with Adverse Affects on this one. They posted identical messages in several different sections, and it just reeks of trying to sell something / raise capital.

Maybe give them a couple of weeks, and if they don't visit or post again delete it.

Who cares if he is a spammer. Its relevant information about a awesome project. Personally with the lack of good options on ebike frames I am hoping he really gets the frames off the ground. I am currently trying to get a few people involved in the project with the purchase of the frame that i will build up the electronics on.

20kw in a 30kg bike frame sounds like a lot of fun.
