Hi, looked into EV's sometime ago but due to commitments couldn't go ahead. I have a 86 Pontiac Fiero (small 2 seater-Plastic body)that I wish to convert, the motor and transaxle already removed. It will have a custom body when complete. Im seeking assistance with information and leads regaurding this progect. Setups suggestion would be appreciated. This vehicle will be used for promotion and will not require registration. Any ideas? Thanks

Maybe tell us what perfomance you want to get out of it or a rough budget you want to work to.

Looking at a balance between acceleration, cruising and range (lol asking too much?), the vehicle minus running gear will be very light weight. A mild sports setup? prerhaps? range can be sacraficed Acceleration and a reasonable cruising speed would be prefered

Hi Tareaway,

Here's a PDF I put together recently to kick things off:

http://www.zeva.com.au/publications/Sports_Cars.pdf

It'll probably raise more questions than it answers, but maybe a good place to start for considering component selection etc!

Hi Tareaway

Take a look at the ev photo album to see how others have converted their Pontiacs.
