sorry if i have posted this before (cant see it in my subscriptions)

anyone know if someone sell's electric dirtbike's?

was interested in doing the conversion myself (just a dirtbike on tracks - not road) so the zero FX was a bit more than what i thought). but time got away from me so looking to see if anyone sells decent ones in australia..

seems to be a few in the US, but hardly any - if not none here...
so may have to do the conversion myself anyway

mostly thinking kids dirtbikes 650 motor but open to suggestions

thankyou very much gabz, i thought about the epush-bike and looked into it (am currently in the process of making myself one) but decided against it for the children.

i had forgotten about braap, sent their perth store a email and he didn't get back to me. so doing a followup email with the head store - great gabz, cheers, thanks for the reminder

I would love to do a build up for you at close to cost price. Something around 15kw on a kid/adult size bike should be enough(i ll buy a second hand bike to build it on that you chose, good bikes with seized engines are worth about $200-500) would be ~$5k with a 3kw/h sized battery on it.

Only problem would be the shipping over to WA as i am in the Gold Coast.

bluefang, that is a very generous offer, i will PM you.

i worked out that buying a motorbike (electric for kids) is probably not the best idea - to keep costs down they prob skimp on the good stuff

and you can build a bike with all the good stuff for cheaper.

so have worked out that i need to build one, and was doing some research and found out that you can buy hubs for motorbikes

i know, who knew

Would highly suggest staying away from a hub motor for any sort of high performance on a electric dirt bike. If you are happy with medium performance and a fairly heavy build that can not be jumped too well then they would be fine.

I ll PM you more info on what i would do if you want. I am pretty much offering to build anything a cost price atm. I just want to build bikes up that push the limits of things, too much money tied up in my test bike. Yes the avatar is my road legal test bike. 32kw, 150kg, 8kwh and 120km/h top speed.
