$831.50 is a bargain. In NSW if you choose a new plate, even if it fits totally in the established patterns* and colours, it's ~$110 up front plus $90/year. If you go outside these ("Custom") it's about $440/year.
Full Prices

*NSW patterns
$110 + $90/y
ABC.123
ABC.12D
AB.12.CD
AB.123
AB.1234

$400
N.AB.12.C (N for NSW Euro style)

Custom
$400 or $600 + $440/y

4WD EV is not a name unless that's what you named your kid Image
AWD EV would be an alternative...
So the short answer is NO but the long answer is YES.

Yeah both those WA and NSW prices are a bargain! If you want a standard 'custom' 3 alpha + 2 numeric or 3 numeric + 2 alpha plate here in QLD, it's a few hundred. But if you want a full custom 'prestige' plate (2-6 alpha/numeric characters) it's $2295. Ouch...

Until the day the the NSW government realised they could tax the car owner more, special order plates (ABC 123 black on yellow or AB 123 white on black) were $25 once off.

The big cost and annual fees is a huge rort. To top it off they sold of the rights to manage the rort to some of their mates.

$22 for standard replacement plates. For that price I'd forget about custom plates but thats just me. Image

We brought a new ICE family truckster the other day and its pales are
XEV-### so maybe XICE would make a good EV plate.

What a blow.

Multi-functional though. You'd need the key to start, and go.
