Westfield new installations
I tried my Chargepoint card at Carindale tonight and was rewarded with a very satisfying "clunk" as the hand piece was unlocked and the display indicated that it was ready to use. The area is still taped off and I suspect this is for the markings on the ground to dry. With these four bays at Westfie...

DIY Conversions nearly dead ?
I find that I have a lead acid devouring pet dinosaur which is demanding a lot of time and effort just to keep on the road. As the saying goes, " lead is dead ", so a cash outlay on Lithium is required to make any conversion worthwhile. http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley1.gif Poprock Could...

Hence his inelegant suggestion of an added button on the steering wheel "Inelegant suggestion", we are talking about an EV conversion that has 222 cells, each with a custom monitoring/balancing module that continues to scream in agony after it is removed from it's cell, hundreds of very high voltag...

Carrying bikes?
According to the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, a tow bar like device for carrying a bike rack would not require certification or approval. It would be considered an accessary and just has to be safe for other road users. i.e. no sharp edges. This means you could make one, or use...

I am a member of the holden sporting car club (Its not actually about holdens any more). The club runs motorkhana in Willowbank on a regular basis and would be happy to have EVs along. But being at Williowbank I suspect getting most EVs there and back would be a challenge. But incase anyone is inte...

Carrying bikes?
I'm trying to find a way to carry a bunch of bicycles on my iMiev, but I'm not making a lot of progress. You could upgrade to small wheeled folding bikes and carry them inside the car. Or, you could fit a tow bar for mounting a bike rack, but not use it for towing. http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopi...

I conceived of this small-footprint design as "the black monolith" from the movie "2001 a Space Odyssey". Just a reminder about the meeting tonight.
Stop press:
MeXy, the 720 V electric MX-5, will at last be there with her full design power for the first time. Hoorah!
Anyone who nominates for a committee position gets a joy ride, and to drive her yourself, if you dare.

Checked the Kelly - it had no warning lights, just the normal green one. Cycled the power and it looked the same. With the gearbox in neutral gentle acceleration does turn the motor, but it shudders terribly. Tried this with the clutch in, still shudders. The poor thing is still sitting on the side...
