I don't recall the actual number of laps but they did not mention that we broke the lap record.
That sounds about right.

Perth eV Challenge 08

We entered a team from Margaret River called the River Raiders this year. There were three of us, myself (drive train & electrics), Wayne Pragnell (body design) and Peter Fitchat (steering and suspension). Three cars in all, the "Electric Chair", "Carbonnay" and "Hot Rod" We did ok on the day. Will ...

Advanced DC L91-4003

This motor is a good choice for a bike. Compact, lightweight with easy DC control. You could do direct chain drive as it is fairly torquey. One of the WAEVA members has one in a baby car and it goes like the clappers. No regen braking though. Michael (Doc) Symons is the one to talk to about these mo...

Kelly Controllers

Yes I have a Kelly controller installed in my car, 144V.
Been testing it for the last couple of months.
It is the latest model highest power KDH (14600B?) controller.
Sufficient for a small car with modest acceleration.

I am looking at supplying these for use with the ADC 'X' motor in due course.

Lithium monoblock

Ummm... you are missing something. 144V 10Ah is 1.4kWhrs of storage. Big enough for a go-kart I suppose but not a road going EV.

orientation of TS lipo's

TS LFP cells can be laid on their side, it is just that no one has ever tested their lifespan in this position. You might be the first ;-) The only issue I can see may be with the electrolyte acting unequally at the top and the bottom layers if the cell is not quite full. If you shake them you can h...

AC Motor Import

The controller will only work with BLDC because it requires hall sensor inputs from the motor.
