tesla roadster - may stop production

Beware Solar the hooks and bait is set. tesla has found no doubt that the market for 100.000$ plus vehicle has been exhausted and now looking for the workers and mugs. Main problem with all ev manufactureres is the ballance sheet. Many spend millions on research and tooling then when thy come to the...

Hmm Nevilleh In order to make a decent impression on the performance and capacity I was looking at no less the 120-150 a/h Lithium batteries. As you suggested go for 40a/h at 2700$ and then spend another 2,000- $2500 for Charger and BMS system does not add up to me. Your suggestion has merit and a h...

Thank you for your explanation Why would i be imterested in 40 a/h lithiums? Are you suggesting that 40a/h lit will be equal in power to 12x 12volt 120a/h agm's? and why would i need 80 batteries? if each produce 3.2 volt surely my 144 volt system will only accomodate max 48-50 batteries Thanks for ...

Hi Woody, What you say makes good sense I have had similar figures but yours are more technical and OK. The main part of this test is to use the genset only and just use the battery unit as a catalyst for ballance When i finish after an hour with 144v on the meter driven 42-50 km and hour the i wil...

I prefer AGM = my opinion I prefer to pay 2400 for my power I am 73 and I don't care about 1000 charges at full cpacity and 4000 at 50% capacity..and worrying about the lithium longevity and maintenance. Mine will last for 3 years and a bit more Maintenance free. I am happy with my 3 years. You pref...

EV2Go Just curious but would it be physically possible for a genset to provide sufficient power for an EV to do a long distance drive. I know GM are planning on releasing such a car with it built in, but I am think more along the lines of something trailer mounted for those who have already converte...
