Drive an EV @ Sydney Motorsport Park

I would consider it depending on dates etc, and assuming I can get my car working Image

Guys tyre pressure is not just for economy. Raising the pressure WILL decrease levels of grip. You are sacrificing safety to save a few cents. Just because a tyre rating reads 41psi doesn't mean you should go there. All that means is the tyre could potentially handle that pressure and if the car was...

I like you're thinking. I could also add some stipes to copy a resistor :-)

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

By the way I really need a name for the car. This will be used on the event entry list. I have toyed with the idea of calling it the "Battmobile" and either way I am painting it black with occasional white highlights. But I am concerned that name might be too cheesy. If anyone has a better suggestio...

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

I am refining my circuit diagram. I am including two contactors, the main contactor to take the high voltage/ high current, and a second to connect and disconnect the precharge resistor. The contactor for the precharge resistor will always be connected before the main contactor can be connected. I a...

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

Hi, Here is the progress on my motorkhana / Khanacross car. Motorkhana is a fun, entry level, cost effective form of motorsport. Think of a timed verson of Ken Block's videos. Khanacross is a little faster and more flowing form of motorsport. Think of a hill climb but without the incline. Here is an...

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

This weekend just past I swapped the old steering rack for a fast ratio MR2 rack. It took a lot of modification but I am happy with the result. I then moved on to the last piece of firewall and fitting the pedals. I had to mount the master cylinder in a central position because the right suspension ...

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

Can I buy one of the isolation monitoring systems or similar? I'm not really in a position to construct my own. I thought about attaching a dual pole circuit braeker. With one pole attached to the chassis so if it receives a zap from the high voltage it would trip that pole and also the second pole ...

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

This Wednesday might be a little premature. The car isn't powered yet so it would be a pain to get it on the trailer. And more importantly I need to disassemble the whole thing so I can flip it over and complete some welds underneath. Not to mention tidy some of the ugly welds I've already done :-) ...

Electric Motorkhana and khanacross car

Hi, Some of the Brisbane guys might remember me from a meeting a few months back. I am building an electric motorkhana and khanacross car from the ground up http://forums.aeva.asn.au/uploads/3879/20151005_154337_resized_b.jpg The car is bigger than a traditional motorkhana car because I wanted to ha...
