Looking for iMiEV Android App beta testers

I might give the ebay one in your list a go. I have just tested and can confirm that the ebay wifi adapter on the PHEV list works in our iMiEV. However be aware that ebay products can change from shipment to shipment, already we have noted one OBD adapter on the PHEV list which worked in one shipme...

Looking for iMiEV Android App beta testers

Has your reported capacity always diminished over time or has there been periods where it has actually shown a increase in comparison to the last time it was read. Great to have you on board for the beta Kurt! The PHEV BMS ECU definitely can report an increase in capacity, as my PHEV which went up ...

Looking for iMiEV Android App beta testers

Ah, just found this http://www.evpositive.com/evbatmon-for-phev.html#OBD I presume the ones that work for PHEV are likely to work for the i-MiEV too. caniOn only supports the Scantools OBD as they use STN11xx rather than ELM327 protocol. We support a wider range of OBD, however it is still the case...

Looking for iMiEV Android App beta testers

Hi fellow iMiEV owners, Following from the success of our Outlander PHEV Android App, we're looking for beta testers for the new iMiEV version of our Android App EvBatMon (Electric Vehicle Battery Monitor). If you currently use caniOn, or want to know what is going on inside your iMiEV battery and e...

Outlander- has anyone driven 51km on EV?

Vics get $100 discount on the Hybrids. So rego is $177 BUT the 3rd party is another $350 or so depending on your postcode. Wow that's cheap, now I feel really sad http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley19.gif . The $504 in NSW is not including CTP! And VIC don't need to register trailers either, d...

Install a light in the J1772 inlet

charge my I MiEV in the driveway which is poorly lit. Plugging in the cable can be difficult in the dark. I Want to install a small LED light in the recess area of the J1772 What about sticking one of those round disc shaped battery powered led lights you get at Kmart etc to the back of the flap? e...

Outlander- has anyone driven 51km on EV?

My PHEV rego just came in for renewal and I was surprised to see it is $200 higher than our iMiEV which was only just registered as well. NSW PHEV is $504, iMiEV was $293, I know most of this is due to the different weight (1100 vs 1800kg) however it seems high? I'm wondering if mine has been correc...

stock iMiev tires make it an ideal "drift car"... I can skate around corners with the greatest of ease! Back in 2015 I took our iMiEV to the Eastern Creek skidpan for my brothers car club meet as he thought it would go well on the tight witches hats circuit. It did go well, however bigtime underste...

As I have 2x EV, I have both bought the Jaycar $79 one with the CB, and made my own. I'm actually onto my 2nd hand made one, as the Active started melting so you do need to be careful with homemade and INSPECT REGULARLY.

OK - the battery graph needs some translation for me :-) The Ah capacity of the battery directly determines how far you can drive. The graph simply shows the Ah capacity of the PHEV battery on the vertical axis, and time on the horizontal axis. Each blue dot is a reading from the PHEV BMU ECU (batt...

my build date is 04/2014 Wow that's older than mine which was built 7/2014 and purchased 4/2015. Here is my battery capacity history, however since I did that graph the BMU has revised the usable capacity upwards bringing the 10yr outlook to > 50% PMC (Percentage of Manufacturer's Capacity). www.ev...

Just got my PHEV a few days ago ... battery showed 2 dashes after 55km Sounds like the VW trained you well. Hats off to you, the best I've managed is about 47km with 2km RR so about 49km. My current battery capacity is 35.7Ah. Did you purchase new or 2nd hand and what was the build date? I'd be int...

pooling our resources. How about this then : 10 EV owners agree to do the trip, one each year from 2017- 2027. That's only $1k ea owner for the entire solar setup inc insurance etc. Much cheaper than a genny+fuel, and I think you'd have trouble carrying genny fuel in a pleasant, safe and legal mann...

The key to making this system work is the style of PV used. Thin flexible solar panels (about 3mm thick ) That weigh about 4kg for a 200w panel. 15 panels 3kg pr 200w panel so just 45kg - 3000w That's actually a great idea, I'm sure the cost would not be much more than flat as you'd have trailer co...

I am planning, scheming, strategising, theorising,(well dreaming), a three month trek around Oz in the LEAF. What are you thinking to achieve this? Maybe hook up a "little" trailer with a folding array of about a 15-20 solar panels should give you 2400W most of the day. Travel at night would help, ...

Hats off to you, that's so impressive! Thanks for posting.

A couple of questions, how did you do the Ballina 125km leg? Also, did you have to forego airconditioning to get to any destinations as it would have been pretty hot on occasions?

used battery only mode, only using 'Charge' on the faster stretches if the battery is running low. what is my best option? I push ECO every trip. If you push it when driving you can feel the acceleration drop. Also the airconditioning is not as powerful.

For the purpose of experimentiation, I would be willing to give you one of my old cells for free. So the only real issue is finding a 2nd h...
