Sudden reduction in RR

I think you mean Sunday? Yes sorry Sunday. Are you still thinking you can come, and is Michael planning to come? Yes I have Brought Canon but I am having difficulty getting it to update the data. CanIon locks up if you put the time (1min, 5min, 30min etc) setting too high. Put it back to 30mins or ...

Sudden reduction in RR

Greg, not sure if you ended up getting CanIon setup? If you havn't and think you can still make it to the meet on Saturday, I will have mine so we can look at the battery and see if any of the cells are playing up?

Sudden reduction in RR

That's a pretty big drop but it may just be temperature. Hi Greg, no drop in RR on our iMiEV. It said 103km on Sunday 26th when it last got a charge (couldn't for 5 days prior due to storm damage to power infrastructure). If you drive the same routes then RR should be helpful, otherwise its just a ...

I'll check with the wife (who'll ring her mother who is office manger), last time fees was a couple dollars per car (so we could justify putting in a EVSE) . the main thing is because your recharging on powered sites it needs to not be very busy at the park. Hi Gabz, can you check that there was no...

Mitsubishi Berwick & Ryde

As well I called Ryde and looked at their 12,000KM and they said they can have it shipped up to me to Darwin with 3 Month rego for $18,888. I said that Berwick was happy to do about 15K for 4000km and said would you do it for $13,000 What did you think guys, was I little bit too low balling? Thanks...

i-miev advice for a non owner

I bought my 2010 with 20Kkm for $14k, and calculated at $1.50/l doing about 20Kkm/yr the entire purchase price would be saved in 5 years vs our petrol car. If you are already paying $1.70/l that comes down to about 4 years assuming you can charge overnight on off-peak rates. My only worry would be t...

Outlander PHEV-should I get one?

These are often saviours... Can be bought for as little as $5 Use once only ! the glue will dry out Yes that's a great idea and now on my shopping list after the hassle of the flat tyre. I remember people talking about those kits when I took a 100 Series LC + Kedron van around Oz 10yrs ago. Mitsubi...

Outlander PHEV-should I get one?

I didn't think the PHEV "no spare wheel" would be an issue with over 25 years without a flat tyre under my belt. D'oh, 1500km in and I manage to get a screw in the passenger side rear, grrr! Going to try roadside assistance so I don't need to fill the tyre with goo. In hindsight I should have tried ...

What is the brand of the free 10 amp charger? Is the 15 amp charger really a 15 amp charger? Or a 10 amp charger with a 15 amp plug on the end of it? Pics of possible thx I only took a pic of the Cargepoint screen, 1.566kwh in 28 minutes. I assume the chargepoint website would have more details of ...

I'm not sure I can get the cashback, I'll check it out, my contract states it excludes any other deals or offers. Interesting the T&C state you can't take the $1k off the purchase price, however I'm also doubtful we'll get it with the discounting already achieved. I took my 1 day old PHEV 1000km to...

RR is never a good way to judge energy consumption. Agreed, and its most likely due to tyre pressure as tyre shops don't usually inflate > 34 unless you ask. I really like the 155 tyres so thanks for the recommendation. Use canion or measure recharge kWh for km travelled. This will be useful for my...

Gabz advised on another thread that there is one higher speed charger however you might need to share it with him. When I went to Castle Hill, I was surprised that in about 5hrs I had enough to do 85km home so you probably don't need 7hrs even on a 15A charger. Also Gabz, would you mind checking wit...

Hi, just wondering how many EV owners (doesn't have to be iMiEV, I'm interested in meeting other EV & PHEV owners) would be interested to meet on Sunday 3rd May or Sunday 10th of May at Shelly Beach Caravan Park (Central Coast, The Entrance/Tuggerah area)?

mcudogs and rHills, thanks for sharing your early experience of your PHEV. I'm an iMiEV owner now thinking of trading a Honda CRV for a PHEV Aspire and I'm interested if you (or any other PHEV owners) have anything to add now that you have owned the PHEV for a year or so? Appreciate any feedback. P....

iMiEV has a "black box" recorder

There appear to be two "black boxes" under discussion here: 1. The ones fitted to iMievs for the Victorian EV trial. 2. The airbag control module. Actually 3. I was originally thinking about the data available via the OBD interface. It certainly has more detail than the airbag, however I'm not sure...

I wonder if the Police would think to extract data from our iMiEV in the case of a serious accident. All sorts of info including speed, acceleration etc. What are the legalities?

Canion monitors the DC current going from the onboard charger to the battery pack. So. The 6.2A is DC at the pack voltage, probably around 330V at the time you were looking. This gives about 2079W, that is approx 10A at 230V (2300W) less charger losses. Of course, that makes heaps more sense! The I...
